I’m Shaw Bowman 👋🏼. Santa Fe based, TN born, AL raised, PA schooled; former NYer AND LAer; proud border collie dad, even prouder human child donor dad, Emmy-winning (not to brag) gay left-handed Libra ENFJ and lapsed Quaker.
This website exists because it seems useful as I take on a more diverse range of projects and roles. My jobs have heretofore mostly been “in-house” and centered on short-form content and digital strategy for TV networks (Comedy Central, Ovation TV & Netflix), and from 2017-2021 I served as Head of Creative for Swing Left and Vote Forward, which involved content as well as recruiting famous supporters (e.g. here & here) in the service of putting volunteers to work in critical elections nationwide.

I’m also a writer, contributing to Cultured Magazine, Departures, Hyperallergic, NY Mag & others. I have a couple of yet-to-be produced screenplays too 🤷🏻♂️.
AND I consult in the realm of digital/content/marketing/influencer strategy, and my clients include Swing Left & Vote Forward, Support+Feed, an environmentalist non-profit; Creative Santa Fe, a non-profit creative agency; NDI New Mexico, an arts & community outreach non-profit; North Six, a for-profit creative agency that does a lot of social impact work; NOISE FOR NOW, an abortion rights org; Public Rights Project, a progressive legal advocacy org; & The Hometown Project, a progressive electoral org.
I also volunteer with Citizens Climate Lobby & NDI New Mexico.
